Cairo: The cabinet, led by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, extended its heartfelt congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on being honored with the "Agricola Medal" by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). This accolade represents the highest honor granted by the FAO.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the cabinet emphasized the government's persistent endeavors to implement all necessary measures to secure food security through collaboration among pertinent ministries and bodies. During the weekly government meeting at its headquarters in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), Prime Minister Madbouli expressed his delight over the FAO's decision to award the "Agricola Medal" to President Sisi.
The Agricola Medal is the FAO's highest honor, awarded to leaders, kings, and heads of state in acknowledgment of their contributions to supporting the organization's goals, enhancing food security, combating hunger, and providing humanitarian aid to neighboring countries in crisis.
In addition, the prime minister urged all relevant ministries to take necessary steps to increase reliance on local products, highlighting that domestically manufactured items now adhere to high-quality standards and efficiency.
During the meeting, Madbouli also discussed the outcomes of his inspection tour of the projects under the presidential initiative "Decent Life," which aims to assess the progress of development efforts in the villages of Shibin El-Qanater township. He described the initiative as the most extensive comprehensive development project designed to enhance living standards and services in Egyptian rural areas, thereby improving the conditions of millions of citizens across various governorates.
He further highlighted the transformative impact of the "Decent Life" projects in elevating the quality of services offered to citizens in targeted villages, spanning numerous developmental and service sectors.
