Rafah: The 124th convoy of humanitarian aid trucks commenced entering the Gaza Strip for Palestinians early this morning through the subsidiary gate of the Rafah Land Port in North Sinai Governorate. These trucks are heading toward the Karam Abu Salem crossing, in preparation for their entry into the enclave.
According to State Information Service Egypt, a responsible source at the Rafah Land Port reported that the trucks, part of the 124th 'Zad Al-Izza from Egypt to Gaza' convoy, are loaded with thousands of tons of relief and humanitarian aid. This includes food parcels, medical equipment, medicines, personal care items, various petroleum products such as gasoline, natural gas, and diesel, as well as shelter materials like tents, blankets, and winter clothing.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has been actively coordinating and dispatching aid to the Gaza Strip since the onset of the crisis in October 2023. Despite challenges, the Rafah Land Port has never been fully closed during this period. It continues to maintain full operational readiness at all logistical centers and supports aid delivery efforts with the help of 35,000 volunteers.
The crossings connecting the Gaza Strip were closed by Israeli occupation forces since March 2, 2025, after the conclusion of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, and due to the failure to reach a consensus to solidify the ceasefire.
