Medical Cities Planned for New Alamein and New Administrative Capital

New Alamein:Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has announced the establishment of extensive medical cities in New Alamein and the New Administrative Capital following a detailed meeting with the implementation committee.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting included key figures such as Lieutenant General Ahmed Saad Ali El-Shazly, the President's Advisor for Financial Affairs, representatives from the National Security Authority, the Administrative Control Authority, Major General Ashraf El-Araby from the Engineering Authority, and Dr. Khaled El-Sayed, Director of the Projects Department.

The Minister highlighted that the strategic vision for the project has expanded from merely establishing a heart institute to developing a comprehensive medical city. This city will feature various specialized medical institutes and aims to enhance the Universal Health Insurance System and significantly improve healthcare services for citizens.

Lieutenant General El-Shazly emphasized that these medical cities are part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's vision for advancing the health sector. He detailed a financial strategy employing innovative mechanisms to ensure the project's sustainability and reduce the state's budgetary burden while maximizing health development investments.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry's spokesperson, noted that the meeting discussed the carefully selected location for the Medical City in the New Administrative Capital to enhance the area's investment and development potential. Additionally, the meeting reviewed international experiences related to implementation and financing, proposing an economic model to sustain the project's high-quality healthcare services.
