Cairo: Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, convened a meeting today to assess ongoing efforts aimed at resolving financial entanglements among government entities. The session aimed to address outstanding financial issues that have long affected several government sectors.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was attended by key governmental figures, including Eng. Mahmoud Issmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Mr. Ahmed Kouchok, Minister of Finance, Eng. Sherif El-Sharbin, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and several other senior officials. The discussion focused on reviewing the debts owed by various ministries to the Ministry of Electricity and explored potential mechanisms for settling these debts to enable more effective service delivery.
At the outset, the Prime Minister emphasized the state's dedication to implementing necessary measures that would help resolve these financial entanglements. He noted that resolving these issues is crucial as part of broader economic and structural reforms aimed at eliminating sectoral distortions, which have previously hindered service improvements.
Mr. Mohamed El-Homsany, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's office, highlighted that the meeting explored the possible reconciliations and mechanisms for debt settlement, aiming to enhance the financial capacities of the sectors involved. This, in turn, is expected to improve service delivery and help achieve operational goals more efficiently.
