Baghdad:Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty has urged Islamic nations to enhance their cooperation to tackle crises in the Middle East and prevent further military conflicts.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty emphasized the Palestinian cause as a key concern for Egypt during his address at the 52nd session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers. He reiterated Egypt's commitment to an independent Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, while rejecting Israeli occupation and the displacement of Palestinians.
