Cairo: Head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) Ahmed El-Sobky engaged in discussions with Advisor Mishaal bin Al-Daihani, Chairman of the Arab Union for Emergency and Disaster Management, to prepare for a cooperation protocol focusing on health emergencies and disaster response.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the agreement will include joint training initiatives, crisis management strategies, and business continuity planning. Certified programs will be designed for EHA staff as well as participants from other Arab countries. EHA has committed to offering its field hospitals as sites for these training sessions.
The discussions also covered potential collaboration in areas such as reconstruction efforts, public awareness campaigns, and the sharing of Egypt's health system experiences with the wider region. El-Sobky expressed that this partnership is indicative of Egypt's commitment to enhancing Arab cooperation in health and emergency preparedness.
Advisor Al-Daihani commended Egypt's experience in the healthcare sector and confirmed the plans to establish field-based programs along with certified training that will benefit the entire Arab region.
