Alexandria: Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on Saturday issued directives to declare a state of high alert across healthcare facilities and medical teams in Alexandria governorate, due to weather fluctuations affecting the governorate.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister said that all hospitals and health units in the governorate are operating at full capacity, with additional medical teams deployed to handle any emergencies.

The minister added that all necessary medical supplies and essential medications are available at health units. Ambulances are placed on high alert along major roads and highways, with additional units deployed in densely populated areas and public gathering points, the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, the minister commended the teams' efforts, noting that the Health Ministry is closely monitoring the situation in cooperation with the relevant bodies.
