Egyptian, Saudi, Jordanian, and French Foreign Ministers Convene in Paris to Address Gaza Conflict

Paris: The foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan convened in Paris with the French foreign minister to discuss the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip. The meeting aimed to review the latest developments and explore international efforts to end the hostilities.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, who are part of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee, met with French Foreign Minister Jean-No«l Barrot. The meeting was described in a joint statement released by the three Arab countries.

The statement highlighted that the discussions focused on international efforts to halt the war in Gaza and facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into the Palestinian enclave. The ministers emphasized the need to stop Israel's actions in the occupied Palestinian territories, which they stated are in violation of international laws and humanitarian norms.

Additionally, the foreign ministers reiterated the significance of implementing a two-state solution in line with international laws, aiming to promote security and prosperity in the region. The meeting also touched on preparations for an upcoming high-level international conference on the two-state solution. This conference is scheduled to take place at the UN headquarters in New York in June, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France.
