Cairo: The Ministry of Social Solidarity's Takaful and Karama Programme has entered into a cooperation protocol with the Rural and Environmental Industries Support Fund to provide financial backing for micro-enterprises under the World Bank loan initiative. This strategic move is part of a broader effort to bolster the economic capabilities of vulnerable populations in Egypt.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the protocol is aligned with the World Bank's objective of expanding the Takaful and Karama cash transfer systems. This expansion aims to empower individuals by facilitating the creation of income-generating projects. The initiative is expected to deliver technical, financial, and administrative assistance to targeted groups, ultimately seeking to improve their quality of life.

The protocol's framework is designed to diminish reliance on aid by promoting self-sufficiency among beneficiaries.
