US Charge d’Affaires Describes First Monorail Ride to New Capital as Fast, Enjoyable

Cairo: US Charge d'Affaires Robert Silverman and his wife took the monorail to the New Capital to attend the celebration marking the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the US Embassy reported on social media that Silverman traveled on the monorail from the One Ninety Station to the Government District Station to attend the event. In a video shared by the embassy, Silverman expressed his decision to experience the monorail service for the first time as he journeyed to the New Capital.

Silverman described the trip as "very beautiful," noting that the journey was both fast and enjoyable. He highlighted that the monorail offered a more pleasant experience compared to traveling by car. The embassy concluded its post by emphasizing that Egypt's diplomatic history and technological progress know no bounds, indicating a bright future for the nation.
