Al-azhar: Al-Azhar expressed its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Venezuela over the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck the country, leaving hundreds of people dead, while thousands of others have been injured and displaced.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Al-Azhar affirmed its full humanitarian solidarity with the Venezuelan people in the wake of the tragedy. In a statement released on Friday, Al-Azhar conveyed its deep sorrow over reports of the collapse of hundreds of buildings and residential towers, the declaration of a state of emergency, and large-scale evacuation operations in the affected areas.

Al-Azhar called on the international community and humanitarian relief organizations to swiftly provide on-the-ground assistance. It emphasized the need to support rescue teams in searching for those trapped under the rubble and to provide shelter for those affected by the disaster.

Furthermore, Al-Azhar extended its sincere condolences to the Venezuelan government, people, and families of the victims, and prayed for Allah to bestow mercy upon the deceased. It also wished for a speedy recovery for the injured and prayed for Allah to protect humanity from all harm.
