Cairo: The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has officially stated that no confirmed date has been set for the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). This announcement comes as a response to recent reports suggesting a scheduled opening, which the ministry has dismissed as unfounded.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the ministry emphasized that any official details regarding the museum's opening will be communicated through authorized channels. The ministry urged media outlets to verify information before publication, highlighting the significant local and international interest surrounding the museum's launch.

Initially, the Grand Egyptian Museum was anticipated to open on July 3. However, the inauguration has been postponed to late 2024. The delay is attributed to regional developments and the desire to ensure that the event reflects the grandeur of Egypt's cultural heritage.
