Culture Minister and North Sinai Governor Inaugurate Renovated Qatya Culture House in Bir el-Abd

Bir el-Abd: Minister of Culture Ahmed Fouad Henno and Governor of North Sinai Khaled Megawer inaugurated the newly renovated Qatya Culture House in Bir el-Abd city. This event marked the start of the minister's visit to the North Sinai Governorate, aligning with the Ministry of Culture's celebrations for the anniversary of the June 30 Revolution.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Qatya Culture House underwent complete reconstruction and restoration after its destruction due to terrorist activities. The reopening of the culture house reflects the Ministry of Culture's strategy to ensure cultural justice and expand the reach of cultural products, particularly in border and remote areas, in line with the New Republic's objectives.

Minister Henno highlighted the significance of inaugurating the Qatya Culture House at this time, emphasizing that culture is a cornerstone of comprehensive development. He instructed that the Culture House operate in two shifts, morning and evening, to maximize its service to the residents of the village and surrounding areas.

Governor Megawer reiterated the essential role culture plays in promoting national values and enhancing community awareness. He stressed the governorate's commitment to supporting cultural initiatives and activities sponsored by the Ministry of Culture. The governor emphasized that creating a supportive environment for cultural institutions is a priority for the cities and centers across North Sinai.

The governor further explained that the opening of the Qatya Culture House is part of a broader range of developmental and cultural projects currently in progress in the governorate. These projects aim to bolster the state's efforts in human development, especially in education, culture, and the arts.
