Cairo: Senior commanders of the Egyptian Armed Forces held a series of bilateral meetings during the final day of the fourth International Defense Exhibition and Conference (EDEX 2025).
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meetings, held on the sidelines of the exhibition, involved discussions with military leaders and representatives of participating defense companies to enhance cooperation with the armed forces of friendly countries.
Commander of the Egyptian Navy, Mahmoud Adel Fawzy, met with the Deputy Chief of Staff of the French Navy, the Commander of the Somali Navy, and officials from the South Korean company Hanwha.
Commander of the Air Force, Amr Abdel-Rahman Saqr, held talks with the Iraqi Commander of the Martyr BG Ali Flaih Air Base, representing the Iraqi Air Force Commander. He also met with Pakistan's Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force for Logistics, the Head of Planning and Project Management for the Turkish Air Force, the Commander of the Indian Air Force Central Command, the Brazilian Minister of Military Production, the Deputy Commander of the Czech Forces, the Commander of the Malian Air Force, and the Commander of the DRC Air Force.
Saqr also had meetings with officials from the UAE's Edge, Turkish Aerospace Company, France's Lacroix and MBDA companies, China's NORINCO and CPMIEC companies, and the US Northrop Grumman Corporation.
Commander of the Air Defense Forces, Yasser El-Touadi, held talks with the Deputy Head of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, officials from Russian Rosoboron Export and High-Precision Weapons companies, officials from Germany's Hensoldt and Diehl Defense companies, and China's CETC, CPMIEC, and ELINC companies.
Head of the Armed Forces Armament Authority, Mohamed Adly Abdel Wahed, held meetings with the South Korean Minister of Military Production, the Russian Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, and officials from South Korea's Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) companies.
The meetings focused on exchanging views on the latest advancements in armaments and defense systems, as well as exploring ways to enhance military cooperation in multiple areas, thereby strengthening the operational capabilities and combat readiness of the armed forces.
