Cairo: Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority Walid Gamal El-Din met with Peter Mulima, Dutch Ambassador to Egypt, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation and investment opportunities in renewable energy, green hydrogen, and sustainable development.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Gamal El-Din highlighted the Authority's vision to expand green energy projects, including the Egypt Green Hydrogen project, which is set to export its first shipment of green ammonia to Germany by 2027. He emphasized the importance of integrated regulatory frameworks and long-term contracts to attract international investments.
Ambassador Mulima expressed his country's interest in Egypt's renewable energy resources and the Zone's strategic location. He underscored a desire to expand industrial, logistical, and technological cooperation for long-term mutual benefit.
