Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi performed Friday prayers at the Field Marshal Tantawi Mosque, coinciding with Egypt and the Armed Forces' celebrations of the anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan victories. The event was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, and other key military and civilian officials.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the official spokesperson for the Presidency stated that Sheikh Dr. Sayed Abdel-Bari delivered the Friday sermon entitled "The Month of Victories and the Day of the Martyr," highlighting the heroic achievements of the Islamic nation during the holy month of Ramadan. The sermon celebrated the succession of victories during this time, emphasizing the virtue of martyrdom and the high status of those who sacrificed their lives for the security of the homeland.
The official spokesperson, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, reported that after the prayer, President Sisi met with the leaders of the Armed Forces, including Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher and Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa. During the meeting, the President congratulated the Armed Forces on the anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan victories and paid tribute to the nation's martyrs, acknowledging their sacrifice and dedication.
The spokesperson noted that the meeting also covered important international and regional issues, and the tasks undertaken by the Armed Forces to support Egyptian national security. President Sisi concluded the meeting by expressing his appreciation for the Armed Forces' efforts in protecting the homeland and safeguarding its sanctities.
