The state information service (sis) has published a comprehensive information file on its official platforms about the 'national identity: Deep Roots and a Renewed Vision' Conference, scheduled to be held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) from September 21 to 23, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The file is available in several foreign languages in addition to Arabic, providing international press outlets and global audiences with clear, reliable information on the event's objectives and thematic tracks.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the file has drawn substantial engagement across state institutions, bringing together relevant ministries, senior government officials, and leading cultural, intellectual, artistic, and media figures, as well as youth representatives from all Egyptian governorates. The file outlines the conference's main objectives, including strengthening the values of Egyptian national identity among younger generations and addressing contemporary challenges to its preservation, particularly the growing influence of social media, the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence, and the spread of rumors, misinformation, and extremist discourse.
It also highlights the strong participation of youth, with around 450 participants representing all 27 governorates. Activities scheduled throughout the three-day conference include academic sessions, panel discussions, interactive workshops, cultural performances, as well as art and handicraft exhibitions. The file also sheds light on the 'Alexandria Document on National Identity,' which is expected to be announced at the conclusion of the conference. The document aims to promote national awareness and social cohesion and proposes mechanisms for sustaining dialogue on identity-related issues through forums and initiatives extending to Egyptian universities and governorates.
The multilingual publication reflects the SIS's role in raising awareness of key national issues and events and providing reliable information to both Egyptian and international audiences.
