Cairo: Governor of Port Said Major General Ibrahim Ahmad Abu Limon received Ambassador Alaa Youssef, Chairman of the Board of the State Information Service (SIS), and Major General Dr. Tamer Shams El-Din, Head of the SIS Internal Media Sector, at the governorate's headquarters, initiating an official visit aimed at strengthening cooperation between the SIS and Port Said Governorate.
According to State Information Service Egypt, during the meeting, the Governor welcomed Ambassador Alaa Youssef and Major General Tamer Shams El-Din, praising the SIS's pivotal role in promoting public awareness, strengthening citizen engagement, and supporting constructive media messages that keep pace with the state's efforts in development fields. Abu Limon affirmed the governorate's commitment to continue cooperation with the SIS to highlight the scale of achievements and development projects currently underway in Port Said.
The meeting addressed several key areas of cooperation, particularly in media and public awareness, alongside mechanisms to support awareness campaigns directed at citizens. These efforts aim to boost community awareness and align with the state's human development initiatives. The two sides also reviewed the developmental leap taking place across various sectors in Port Said Governorate.
For his part, Ambassador Alaa Youssef expressed appreciation for the development projects and comprehensive modernization taking place in the Port Said Governorate. He affirmed the SIS's continued cooperation with the governorate to support its efforts to raise public awareness and highlight ongoing achievements.
Head of the SIS Internal Media Sector Major General Dr. Tamer Shams El-Din reviewed the key role played by internal media centers in strengthening community awareness, consolidating the values of loyalty and belonging, preserving Egyptian identity, and supporting social cohesion.
