Cairo: The Ministry of Health and Population recently highlighted the achievements of Sindion Training Center, affiliated with the General Administration of Training Centers under the Medical Professions Development Sector, during the fiscal year 2025/26.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the center significantly expanded its training activities and geographical reach, reflecting the ministry's efforts to invest in human capital, strengthen the skills of healthcare professionals, and develop training programs that meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector. Ministry spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar reported that the center delivered 260 training courses through 29 specialized programs, benefiting 4,250 healthcare professionals across various disciplines.

Head of the Medical Professions Development Sector, Hanadi Mohamed, noted that nurses accounted for the largest number of trainees at 2,139, followed by pharmacists with 762, physicians with 516, and dentists with 182, alongside staff from various administrative categories. Additionally, General Administration of Training Centers Director, Esraa Abu Zeid, remarked on the center's strong year-on-year growth, with the number of training courses rising 162% and the number of trainees increasing 116%. The center's geographical coverage also grew by 178%, reaching trainees in 25 governorates, compared to nine in the previous fiscal year.

Sindion Training Center Director Hasnaa Saleh explained that the programs were developed based on quarterly assessments of training needs, using specialized surveys to ensure that courses address the actual requirements of healthcare workers. She added that the center introduced new programs in response to recommendations from the ministry's technical departments, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training.

The center also partnered with the General Administration for Patient Safety to deliver programs aimed at enhancing healthcare quality and strengthening a culture of patient safety, including training on healthcare facility accreditation and national safety standards. The Ministry of Health and Population reaffirmed its commitment to providing healthcare workers with continuous professional development opportunities and expanding training programs in line with the sector's evolving needs.
