Alexandria: Governor Ayman Attiya directed intensified efforts to enhance children's independence and instill a strong sense of belonging.

According to State Information Service Egypt, as part of these efforts, the Child Protection Committee in Montaza 1 District organized a seminar titled 'Circles of Belonging,' in cooperation with Coptic Orphans, under the 'I Am a Lifelong Learner' initiative. The seminar explored the concept of belonging at different levels, starting with the self and family and extending to the community and nation. It also emphasized the importance of volunteer work and translating the values of belonging into positive practices that benefit society.

The seminar featured inspiring examples of service and patriotism, including Dr. Magdi Yacoub, footballer Mohamed Salah, and martyr Ahmed El-Mansi. It also included a range of interactive activities and workshops covering circles of belonging, introductions, personal identity building, listening skills, and interactive sessions focusing on family and community.

The district affirmed that the Child Protection Committee will continue implementing programs and initiatives aimed at supporting children and raising their awareness, contributing to the development of a more aware and socially connected generation in a safe and supportive environment. Meanwhile, Montaza 2 District continued to hold activities under the 'Protection and Life Skills' program at the district headquarters, in cooperation with the Health Directorate and a charitable organization.

The program aims to strengthen child protection, develop children's self-reliance and life skills, and equip young people with the skills needed to navigate life's challenges. The program is funded by UNICEF in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and targets children aged 6 to 12.
