Cairo:The General Egyptian Book Organization has announced the commencement of registration for the 58th Cairo International Book Fair, set to take place in January 2027. The event will be held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the organization will begin accepting registration applications from Egyptian, Arab, and foreign publishing houses starting tomorrow, Thursday, October 1. The registration period will remain open until Saturday, October 31, 2026, following the established rules and regulations for participation.

Preparations for the new edition began earlier this September with the formation of the fair's Supreme Committee, led by Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture. The committee includes specialists in thought, culture, publishing, media, and digital transformation. This edition of the fair, one of the most prominent cultural events in Egypt and the Arab region, is expected to see participation from various publishing houses and cultural institutions.

The 2027 edition will introduce several organizational and technical initiatives aimed at enhancing the fair experience and developing services for both publishers and visitors. These efforts will accompany a cultural and artistic program planned for the event.
