Cairo: The Red Sea Ports Authority's media centre announced on Sunday, September 13, 2026, that its ports managed a total of 13 ship movements, comprising both arrivals and departures, along with handling 13,000 tons of cargo, 661 trucks, and 132 cars.

According to State Information Service Egypt, imports accounted for seven ships, 7,000 tons of cargo, 417 trucks, and 90 cars. In contrast, exports comprised six ships, 6,000 tons of cargo, 244 trucks, and 42 cars. Safaga Port was notably busy, receiving three ships-POSEIDON EXPRESS, Al Hurriya, and Amal-while ships ALCUDIA EXPRESS and BRIDGE departed from the port.

The media centre further reported that Nuweiba Port managed 6,500 tons of cargo and 252 trucks through shuttle trips operated by four ships: Al Hussein, Sina, Ayla, and Our. Additionally, a total of 1,258 passengers either arrived at or departed from the authority's ports, indicating the high level of activity and efficiency within the Red Sea ports.
