Qatar Prime Minister Engages in Key Talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister

Amman: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelatty, on the sidelines of the Arab ministerial committee meeting tasked with mobilizing international action in response to illegal Israeli policies and measures in occupied Jerusalem. The meeting was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on Wednesday.

According to African Press Organization, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation relations between Qatar and Egypt and exploring ways to strengthen their bilateral ties. Discussions also covered the latest regional developments, with an emphasis on joint Arab coordination to address the Israeli escalation in occupied Jerusalem. Both parties considered diplomatic efforts to mitigate tensions and bolster regional security and stability.

During the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of dialogue and diplomacy among all parties. He emphasized the implementation of agreements within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and maintaining regional security.

His Excellency reaffirmed the State of Qatar's commitment to supporting efforts aimed at reducing tensions and achieving a comprehensive agreement for sustainable peace in the region.
