President Sisi Attends Graduation Ceremony of Awqaf Imams

Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended the graduation ceremony of the third training course for imams of the Ministry of Awqaf, known as the 'Imam Hassan Al-Attar Class,' at the Egyptian Military Academy.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the ceremony was held at the newly inaugurated 'Al-Safwa Hall' at the Strategic Command Headquarters in the New Capital. Presidential Spokesman Mohammed el-Shennawy stated that President Sisi was welcomed by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Ashraf Salem Zaher, Chief of Staff Ahmed Khalifa, Minister of Awqaf Osama Azhari, and several other ministers upon his arrival.

The Spokesman mentioned that President Sisi began his participation by unveiling a commemorative plaque to mark the inauguration of Al-Safwa Hall. He then received a detailed briefing from Walid Aref, head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority. The ceremony included a recitation of the Holy Quran, an address by Mohamed Salah el-Turki, Director of the Egyptian Military Academy, and a presentation on the training program for the third Awqaf imams' course. Documentary films were shown, highlighting the graduates' research projects and academic accomplishments.

Activities during the event featured a poetry recital by the senior trainee, the announcement of graduation results, and a religious chant performed by child vocalist Mohamed el-Qalagy. In his speech, Awqaf Minister Osama Azhari emphasized the ministry's dedication to preparing a new generation of imams who are academically, physically, and nationally qualified, acknowledging the President's ongoing support for fostering a balanced and enlightened national character.

President Sisi personally congratulated the top ten graduates on stage and directed relevant authorities to explore opportunities for their continued academic qualification through postgraduate studies, including potential educational missions abroad. Before concluding his visit, President Sisi toured Al-Safwa Hall's main dining facility and VIP lounge.
