Cairo: Director of the Egyptian Military Academy Maj. Gen. Mohamed Salah el Turky stated that the academy's imam training program is crafted to equip religious leaders with the skills necessary to comprehend national issues and address extremist ideologies using knowledge, reason, and sound religious teachings.
According to State Information Service Egypt, during the graduation ceremony of the third group of Ministry of Awqaf Imams, which was attended by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, el Turky highlighted that the program integrates contemporary skills, authentic religious values, and responsible renewal, aligning with Egypt Vision 2030.
He emphasized that this graduation signifies the success of a national strategy rooted in education, enlightened thinking, and a profound sense of national responsibility. El Turki further mentioned that the collaboration between the Ministry of Awqaf and the Egyptian Military Academy underscores Egypt's dedication to developing human capital and enhancing public awareness, asserting that safeguarding minds is as crucial as securing borders.
