Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Minister of Endowments Dr. Osama Al-Azhari; Advisor to the President for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed; Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Major General Khaled Abdullah; and Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Major General Walid Aref. The meeting took place at the Strategic Command headquarters in the New Capital.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that the President reviewed the plans of the Egyptian Endowments Authority to develop the various real estate assets affiliated with the Ministry of Endowments. In addition, plans to strengthen cooperation mechanisms with specialized companies and real estate developers were also discussed, with the aim to develop the investment system and introduce new investment activities and sectors.

The meeting also touched on updates on efforts to develop Historic Cairo and improve the efficiency of its buildings and facilities. President El-Sisi emphasized the need to accord this file the utmost priority, through surveying and developing all related buildings and facilities according to the highest standards, in order to transform the area into a global tourist destination and an attractive cultural landmark.

The Minister of Endowments also reviewed the efforts to inventory and document the assets and properties managed by the Egyptian Endowments Authority. He also highlighted the ongoing cooperation and coordination with the various relevant state entities in this regard, with the aim of achieving an accurate inventory of these assets and creating cadastral and digital maps for them.

The minister also discussed mechanisms for maximizing the benefit from the Authority's assets, including identifying a number of promising investment opportunities that could be offered and utilized in the best possible way. President El-Sisi underscored the importance of continuing inventory and document efforts for various assets and properties affiliated with the Egyptian Endowments Authority. The President directed to maximize their optimal utilization, in order to ensure the continuation of sound investment management of these assets and bolster their contribution to supporting the national economy.
