President El-Sisi Oversees Swearing-In of New Cabinet Members Focused on Economic and Institutional Development


Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister, ministers, and deputy ministers at the Presidential Palace in Heliopolis. The ceremony, witnessed by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, marked a significant cabinet reshuffle aimed at bolstering economic and institutional development.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the reshuffle introduced several key figures into the cabinet, including Hussein Mohamed Ahmed Eissa as Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Ashraf Salem Zaher Ali Mansour as Minister of Defense and Military Production. Other notable appointments included Khaled Atef Abdel Ghaffar Mohamed as Minister of Health and Population and Kamel Abdel Hadi Farag El-Wazir as Minister of Transport.



Presidential Spokesman Mohamed el-Shennawy announced that Decree No. 75 of 2026 led to the abolition of the Ministry of Public Business Sector, entrusting the Prime Minister with issuing necessary decisions to address the implications of this move. The ceremony concluded with a commemorative photo and a meeting between President El-Sisi and the newly sworn-in officials.



During the meeting, President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of diligent efforts based on objective standards to ensure institutional efficiency. He stressed the need for self-assessment, continuous performance evaluation, and a sustained focus on human capital development. The President urged the infusion of well-trained new talent into state institutions and the private sector, while continuing institutional reform and development.



President El-Sisi also underlined the critical role of the media in raising awareness, countering rumors, promoting public discernment, and encouraging creativity. He reiterated his support for government initiatives that serve the public interest, ensuring a collaborative effort towards national progress.
