Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has extended his greetings to Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese on the occasion of eastern Christmas. The President conveyed his best wishes for a Merry Christmas to the Pope and all Egyptian Christians, emphasizing the hope for Egypt's ongoing development and prosperity.

According to State Information Service Egypt, in a cable sent to the pontiff, President El-Sisi highlighted the strong ties that exist between Muslims and Copts in Egypt. He noted that the nation's unity is an essential foundation for its development and progress.

The President also made a point to include Egyptian Copts residing abroad in his festive greetings, acknowledging their role and presence in the broader Egyptian community.
