Cairo: Pope Tawadros II received Ambassador Alaa Youssef, Chairman of the Board of the State Information Service (SIS), at the Papal Headquarters in Cairo, where they discussed enhancing youth awareness and promoting Egypt's global image.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting focused on the SIS's initiatives to portray an accurate image of Egypt, highlighting its historical roots, ongoing growth, and future aspirations. The discussions underscored the importance of raising awareness among youth and fostering a sense of national belonging.

Pope Tawadros II acknowledged the significant role of the State Information Service in these efforts and emphasized the need for increased focus on Egypt's civilizational heritage, particularly the Holy Family's Journey, which is recognized as a major spiritual and historical landmark worldwide.

The Pope also highlighted the historical significance of Coptic monasteries across Egypt, some of which date back to the fourth century, emphasizing their cultural and humanitarian value in strengthening national identity.

Ambassador Alaa Youssef expressed his appreciation for the Egyptian Church's national role under Pope Tawadros II's leadership, recognizing the Church as a key pillar in promoting citizenship, tolerance, and national identity. He commended the Church's historical support for the Egyptian state's stability and its efforts to address challenges, showcasing a model of national unity.
