PM Reviews State Land Planning and Desalination Project Allocations

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly affirmed the government's commitment to closely monitor the activities of the National Center for State Land Use Planning to ensure the optimal utilization of state-owned land in line with the country's sustainable development plans. This came during a meeting held with Head of the National Center for State Land Use Planning Nasser Fawzy to review several priority files.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Fawzy briefed Madbouly on the Center's key ongoing assignments, including the allocation of specific state-owned areas for seawater desalination projects under the national strategic plan for establishing desalination plants through 2050. He explained that the total number of proposed sites for desalination plants under the plan reaches 49 across 10 governorates, of which 32 sites have already received presidential decrees. Decisions are being prepared for six additional proposed sites, while studies for the remaining locations are being completed.
