Cairo:Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly emphasized the National Economic Transformation Program's focus on enhancing private sector involvement, fostering an investment-friendly environment, and supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises alongside entrepreneurship.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Prime Minister's remarks were made during a meeting on the latest developments in preparing the program. The meeting included Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance; Ahmed Rostom, Minister of Planning and Economic Development; and officials from both ministries.
The program aims to align fiscal and monetary policies, elevate living standards, and bolster sustainable growth in Egypt's economy. This initiative is set to be presented to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi before its official launch and implementation.
The meeting focused on targeted economic and development sectors, discussing strategies to maximize economic returns from existing assets and infrastructure. Additionally, it reviewed the status of services in health, education, and housing, and efforts to enhance social protection.
Targets through 2030 were examined to advance social and human development goals, improve service efficiency, and raise living standards across vital sectors.
