PM Inspects Housing Projects Under National Governorates Capitals Initiative

Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said housing and urban development projects remain a government priority as he inspected projects under the presidential initiative to develop governorates' capitals.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during a tour of Kafr El-Sheikh, Madbouly visited units at the Safwa Dara and Zahra Dara housing projects, stressing the need to provide suitable homes for low- and middle-income citizens and develop integrated urban communities with essential services.

Safwa Dara comprises 109 buildings with 10,464 housing units, while Zahra Dara includes 33 buildings with 3,168 units. Both projects feature schools or health facilities, mosques, commercial outlets, and sports facilities.

Madbouly reviewed construction, infrastructure, and finishing works, stressing high quality and the speedy completion and handover of units.

He also ordered the rapid completion of remaining infrastructure and public works and called for sustainable systems to manage and maintain the projects after occupancy, with services operating alongside the start of residents moving in.
