PM Inspects Construction of Health Insurance Hospital in New Administrative Capital

Abu dhabi: Prime Minister Moutafa Madbouli inspected the implementation rate of the comprehensive health insurance hospital project in the New Administrative Capital. This inspection followed the conclusion of his tour of "Decent Life" initiative projects in the Qalyubia governorate.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Prime Minister Madbouli was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar during the visit. Abdel Ghaffar stated that the hospital project is being implemented at a total cost exceeding EGP 2.175 billion. Positioned at a prime location, the hospital overlooks three main roads and is close to the monorail as well as the Mohamed Bin Zayed and Al Amal axes.

The health minister highlighted that the hospital will serve as a state-of-the-art medical complex with seven main buildings, offering a total capacity of 390 beds, including 220 inpatient beds and 94 intensive care beds. He also mentioned that the hospital will feature an integrated surgical system with 12 advanced operating rooms for procedures such as open-heart surgeries, organ transplantation, and precision surgeries.

The hospital will include specialized units such as two cardiac, neurological, and vascular catheterization units, along with a comprehensive gastrointestinal endoscopy unit. This unit will have three rooms for upper and lower endoscopy and ERCP procedures. Additionally, the hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and life-support facilities, including eight specialized medical laboratories, radiology rooms, CT scanners, an MRI unit, and a dialysis center with 40 machines.

Further facilities include a blood bank, a central sterilization unit, and various support services like a laundry facility, a central kitchen, pharmacies, and medical supply warehouses. The hospital will also have 45 outpatient clinics covering all medical specialties, five dental clinics, and two external pharmacies.

The hospital complex will feature an underground parking garage for 79 vehicles, 15 high-speed elevators, and a residential building for doctors and nursing staff. Prime Minister Madbouli has directed the acceleration of construction stages and the supply of medical equipment, stressing the importance of completing the hospital within the contractual timeframe.
