PM Inaugurates African Trade Center in New Administrative Capital

Abu dhabi: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli announced the inauguration of the African Trade Center by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in Egypt's New Administrative Capital, underscoring the country's pivotal role in fostering African economic integration and enhancing intra-African trade.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli highlighted during the foundation stone ceremony, which was attended by Afreximbank President George Elombi along with senior officials and diplomats, that the establishment of the center reaffirms Egypt's status as a key hub for trade, investment, and cooperation on the continent. He emphasized that the center will provide support in trade services, market information, capacity building, and innovation, aligning with the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area.

Madbouli also mentioned that Afreximbank continues to be a strategic partner for Egypt, supporting the nation's priorities and financing projects in diverse sectors such as energy, industry, infrastructure, health security, and agriculture. He further stated that the center is expected to host significant trade and investment events, bolstering Egypt's role as a bridge connecting Africa with the Middle East and Europe.
