Cabinet Confirms Regular Visitation at Grand Egyptian Museum Since Opening

Cairo: The Cabinet Media Center issued a statement on its official platforms, addressing recent discussions regarding the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The Grand Egyptian Museum continues to welcome visitors regularly according to the official hours in effect since its opening on November 4, with visits proceeding normally and in an organized manner.

According to State Information Service Egypt, since its opening, the museum has witnessed significant attendance from both Egyptian and international visitors, reflecting the strong interest in this unique cultural project. The average daily number of visitors has reached approximately 15,000, in line with the museum's maximum capacity and visitor flow at different times of the day.

Starting December 1, the museum implemented an exclusive electronic ticketing system, discontinuing on-site ticket sales. This aims to regulate visitor flow according to the museum's capacity, ensure smooth entry and exit, enhance visitor comfort and safety, improve the overall tourist experience, and safeguard its archaeological collections.

Tickets can be booked via the official GEM website (https://gem.eg) according to designated time slots. The museum management continuously monitors the booking system to ensure its efficiency and smooth operation.

The electronic booking system operates efficiently and seamlessly, with no technical issues reported. Ongoing monitoring guarantees the highest quality of service for visitors.
