Obour city: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the Egyptian state's unwavering commitment to supporting serious industrial projects that generate added value and contribute to creating more job opportunities. This came during Madbouli's visit to the 'Obour Land' factory in Obour City, affiliated with Obour Land for Food Industries, as part of his tour on Saturday 11/10/2025 in Qalyubia governorate to inspect several development and service projects.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli emphasized that the tour reflects the government's keenness to support successful industrial projects that contribute to deepening local manufacturing, increasing production to meet domestic market needs, and boosting Egyptian exports. He also highlighted the state's ongoing efforts to attract further domestic and foreign investments for new factories and expansion of existing ones.

For his part, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el Wazir noted that the food industries sector, especially dairy production, is among Egypt's most competitive industries. He pointed to the proven success of Egyptian products in various Arab, African, and global markets.

During the tour, Madbouli reviewed the production stages and integrated production line at 'Obour Land 2,' which specializes in the manufacture of white cheese. He observed processes such as pasteurization, filtration, salting, concentration, and cheese production, as well as packaging, labeling, and the company's product exhibition for local and export markets.

Chairman of Obour Land for Food Industries Mohamed Hamed Sherif briefed the premier on the company's operations. He explained that Obour Land is a leading company in the food industry, producing dairy products, cheese, and juices. It spans an area of 26,000 square meters and was established in 1996, with production beginning in 1998. The company holds a market share of approximately 40% in Egypt's cheese sector.

Sherif added that Obour Land offers a wide range of high-quality products, including sterilized milk in various sizes and fat content, with a daily production of 100 tons. It also produces natural and processed white cheese in various flavors and sizes, with an average daily output of 450 tons and a maximum capacity of 750 tons per day, he said. The company also manufactures fruit juices at a rate of 60 tons daily. A significant portion of its processed cheese is exported, particularly to Gulf countries and other markets, he added.

Company's General Manager of Factories Ahmed Hussein discussed Obour Land's expansion plans. He announced that a new factory has been completed, with machinery and equipment installed, and trial operations slated to begin this month. The facility is set to start production in early November, primarily focusing on processed cheese, which is experiencing strong export demand.
