Palau-Flagged Cruise Ship Astoria Grande Docks at Port Said Port

Cairo: The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) announced that West Port Said Port received the Palau-flagged cruise ship Astoria Grande arriving from Turkey's Kusadasi Port with 414 passengers and 409 crew members aboard as part of its regular cruises.

According to State Information Service Egypt, tourist programs are scheduled for passengers, covering visits across Port Said alongside trips to Cairo and Giza landmarks, before the vessel departs this evening for Antalya, Turkey. This comes as part of the SCZONE efforts to boost maritime tourism across its Mediterranean and Red Sea ports and enhance its readiness to service cruise vessels and passengers.

The SCZONE continues upgrading its sea ports to bolster operational capacity and strengthen competitiveness in trade, logistics, and marine tourism. The statement noted that the vessel, owned by Goodwin Shipping Ltd, is 193 meters long, 32 meters wide, and has a draft of 6 meters.

West Port Said Port enjoys a strategic location at the northern entrance of the Suez Canal, boosting its capacity to receive cruise ships and support inbound tourism to Egypt.
