Cairo: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) confirmed that its 258th "Zad Al-Ezzah... From Egypt to Gaza" convoy departed Monday morning heading toward the Gaza Strip, loaded with over 70,000 food parcels. This initiative is part of its ongoing role as the national aid coordination mechanism.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the convoy is carrying a wide range of humanitarian aid, including essential items such as flour, medicines, medical supplies, and petroleum products crucial for operating vital facilities and hospitals across the region. The ERC has been actively involved since the onset of the crisis, ensuring that the Rafah crossing remains open from the Egyptian side to facilitate the continuous flow of aid.

The ERC emphasized the strategic positioning of its logistics hubs and the unwavering commitment of over 75,000 volunteers. This infrastructure and manpower enable the delivery of more than one million tons of aid, underscoring the organization's dedication to supporting those in need in the Gaza Strip.
