NCW Vows Stronger Media Engagement to Promote Women’s Empowerment

Cairo: Newly appointed Spokesperson for the National Council for Women (NCW) Suzanne el Qalini, has pledged to strengthen the council's communication with the media outlets, describing the press as a key partner in raising public awareness and highlighting Egypt's efforts to empower women.According to State Information Service Egypt, Qalini said that her appointment was both an honor and a national responsibility, thanking NCW President Amal Ammar for her confidence.Qalini said she aims to deliver a professional media message that reflects the council's national role in supporting Egyptian women and reinforcing their contribution to the country's development.The spokesperson stressed that the council would work closely with media outlets to ensure transparency and effectively communicate its initiatives and community outreach programs.Qalini's appointment follows a decision announced by Ammar during the council's latest regular meeting. A distinguished media scholar and academic, she has held several senior positions, including dean of the faculties of Arts at Ain Shams University and Media at Liwa University in the UAE, and has authored more than 23 academic books and over 40 peer-reviewed studies.
