Military Production Minister Conducts Surprise Inspection at Heliopolis Company for Chemical Industries

Cairo: Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salaheldin Moustafa embarked on a surprise visit Saturday to inspect Heliopolis Company for Chemical Industries (Factory 81). The company supplies heavy ammunition and military products to the Armed Forces. The visit aimed to monitor progress, ensure compliance with the ministerial directives, and assess operational performance.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister inspected storage facilities and urged workers to maximize their efforts. He also directed the removal of any obstacles hindering the production process for employees. He stressed the importance of internal controls, maintenance schedules, and production line upkeep.

Moustafa also emphasized the need for continued review of production and marketing plans in addition to implementing industrial and cybersecurity measures and ensuring safe disposal of waste. He urged the company to continue playing its pivotal role as one of the industrial pillars affiliated with the Ministry of Military Production, supporting the national economy and advancing domestic industry in accordance with the directives of the political leadership.

Heliopolis Chemical Industries Company is the first Egyptian company specialized in the production of paints and chemicals in the Middle East. The company possesses significant technological capabilities, primarily aiming to meet the needs of the Armed Forces and police. Its military products include heavy ammunition of various calibers, detonating cords, mortar bombs, and protective masks. Additionally, the company operates a factory for black powder production.
