Milan: Labor Minister Mohamed Gobran met with members of the Egyptian community in northern Italy at the end of his official visit to the country. The meeting was hosted by Egyptian Consul General in Milan, Walid Osman, and it underscored Egypt's commitment to providing comprehensive support to its citizens abroad.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Osman highlighted efforts to update consular services, including the introduction of a new app that allows Egyptians in Italy to book appointments and access service details more easily. During the meeting, Gobran reviewed the outcomes of his visit, which included plans to reestablish agreements for sending Egyptian workers to Italy and initiatives aimed at providing safe and well-trained employment opportunities.
The minister also engaged with the community on various concerns related to labor rights and discussed ways to enhance the participation of the Egyptian workforce in Italy. Additionally, he explored potential investment opportunities in Egypt, aiming to strengthen the economic ties between the two nations.
