Cairo: The Ministry of Health and Population participated with 10 of its medical personnel in a number of specialized training programs organized by China. The move is part of efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between Egypt and China in the fields of health and capacity building.
According to State Information Service Egypt, this initiative operates within the framework of ongoing coordination between two key government entities: the Ministry of Health and Population, and the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation. The aim is to maximize the benefits of capacity-building programs and enhance the performance of healthcare sector workers.
The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, stated in a press release on Saturday that the training programs held in June 2025 covered key areas such as nursing, public health management, and capacity building in health insurance systems. He noted that candidates for the training programs were selected under precise criteria to ensure optimal benefit from these training opportunities.
He added that the ministry places great importance on training medical staff and equipping them with the latest global expertise to help raise the efficiency of Egypt's healthcare system.
