Cairo: Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar emphasized the significance of joint efforts among executive bodies, political groups, and civil society, highlighting the ministry's openness to initiatives aimed at reducing citizens' burdens and increasing health awareness.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdel Ghaffar's remarks came during a meeting with Omar Smeda, head of the Congress Party, and Magdy Morshed, Deputy Chair of the House Health Affairs Committee and deputy head of the party. The meeting aimed to bolster communication and collaboration with political and community organizations to support the state's healthcare advancement initiatives.

Health Ministry Spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar noted that the discussions focused on strategies to strengthen cooperation between the ministry and the Congress Party. This collaboration seeks to broaden healthcare coverage and enhance the community role of political parties, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt Vision 2030.

Smeda lauded the significant changes in Egypt's healthcare sector, appreciating Abdel Ghaffar and the ministry's efforts to elevate medical service quality for citizens. Morshed echoed this sentiment, acknowledging the success of presidential public health initiatives and the comprehensive plans for developing hospitals and medical centers, promoting digital transformation, and improving citizens' access to treatment.

He reiterated the Congress Party's full support for the ministry's initiatives to provide a secure and dignified healthy life for all Egyptians. Both parties agreed to keep communication channels open and to regularly consult each other to implement the ideas and proposals discussed into practical actions swiftly.
