Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty met on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, with Executive Director of the National Training Academy (NTA) Solafa Goueli to discuss expanding cooperation in training diplomats and administrative personnel, as well as joint capacity-building programs for African countries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister praised the academy's role in developing future leaders and strengthening human capital, describing it as a key national institution supporting Egypt's efforts to modernize public administration.

Abdelatty stressed the Foreign Ministry's commitment to broadening cooperation through specialized training programs in coordination with the Institute for Diplomatic Studies to equip diplomatic and administrative staff with skills suited to the evolving demands of modern diplomacy.

The minister also called for closer collaboration between the academy and the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development to deliver capacity-building programs across Africa, mainly in agriculture, irrigation, fisheries, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. He expressed hope for launching joint training initiatives targeting government officials in the Horn of Africa and Nile Basin countries to support sustainable development and reinforce Egypt's leadership in capacity building across the continent.

Goueli reaffirmed the academy's preparedness to provide its expertise and tailor training programs to meet the ministry's evolving needs.
