New york: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty stated that Egypt categorically rejects any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land or separate the Gaza Strip from the West Bank. Abdelatty made these remarks during a meeting with representatives of J Street, a US-based organization, on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister stressed the need to consolidate the ceasefire and ensure the full implementation of US President Donald Trump's 20-point plan, as well as facilitate the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid and launch early recovery and reconstruction efforts throughout the Gaza Strip. Abdelatty emphasized the importance of enabling Palestinian institutions to carry out their responsibilities.

Abdelatty reviewed the core elements of Egypt's position on the Palestinian issue, reiterating that achieving regional security and stability remains contingent on reaching a just and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue. This settlement is based on ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He underscored the unity of Palestinian territory, asserting that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the Palestinian state and must be connected to the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. The meeting also addressed the latest regional developments in the Middle East.

Abdelatty highlighted that Egypt places significant importance on resolving ongoing conflicts and crises in the region through peaceful means and political channels, contributing to the consolidation of security and stability at both the regional and international levels.
