Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty has underlined the need for continuing US-Iran negotiations in a serious and constructive manner to reach a final agreement that addresses the interests and concerns of all parties and strengthens regional and international security.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the remarks came during a phone call on Friday, June 26, 2026, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi as the two sides reviewed developments in the ongoing negotiating process between Tehran and Washington. Abdelatty reaffirmed that diplomacy remains the best way to resolve outstanding issues, calling for a broader regional dialogue to address the security concerns of all parties while taking into account the interests of countries in the region.

He said such dialogue should be based on international law, the UN Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness to promote lasting regional peace and stability.
