Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty had two separate phone calls with Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan to follow up on the latest developments in the region. The foreign ministers reviewed the alarming regional situation and its repercussions on regional security and stability.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the ministers highlighted the urgent need for mobilizing regional and international efforts to de-escalate tension and contain the current regional escalation, taking into consideration the dangerous repercussions of the current situation. They asserted the importance of respecting international law, United Nations Charter, and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states.

They emphasized that military solutions are not viable, and that diplomatic and political efforts are the only effective path to avoid more instability in the region.
