Egypt’s Trade with BRICS Countries Surges by 25.5%

Cairo: Egypt's trade with BRICS countries reached 36.7 billion dollars in the first half of 2026, up 25.5% from 29.3 billion dollars during the same period in 2025.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the figures highlight the growing role of BRICS countries in Egypt's international economic relations, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). Egypt's exports to BRICS countries amounted to 6.6 billion dollars during the first half of 2026.

The UAE was one of the largest destinations, receiving 1.7 billion dollars' worth of Egyptian goods. Exports to India reached 868 million US dollars, while China and Brazil accounted for 841 million dollars and 633 million dollars, respectively.

Precious stones, jewelry, and related products were Egypt's leading export category to BRICS markets, valued at 1.2 billion dollars.
