Cairo: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture Abdel Aziz Konsowa emphasized that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's ongoing patronage of the International "Awladna" Forum for Arts of the Gifted underscores Egypt's political dedication to supporting the rights and empowerment of individuals with disabilities. Konsowa's remarks were made at the opening of the 10th edition of the forum, celebrating a decade of showcasing and nurturing the talents of people with disabilities.According to State Information Service Egypt, Konsowa highlighted the forum's international prestige, bolstered by presidential support, which positions Egypt as a leader in cultural inclusion and social integration. He expressed that the forum has transformed art into a platform for the cultural and creative talents of children with disabilities, promoting their societal integration and encouraging their artistic development.The event, attended by Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy and Cai ro Governor Ibrahim Saber, showcased the forum's role in fostering international connections and partnerships between state institutions and civil society to support the talents of people with disabilities. Konsowa noted that this collaboration enhances Egypt's cultural and humanitarian image on the global stage.Soheir Abdel Kader, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the "Awladna" Foundation and President of the Forum, expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and the forum's partners. She emphasized the ongoing mission of the forum, under the slogan "10 Years of Joy and Love," to unite talented individuals with disabilities and promote their psychological and social inclusion through creativity.Abdel Kader reflected on the forum's growth since its inception in 2017, noting the increase in participating children and countries, now totaling 55 Arab and foreign nations. She announced the launch of "Farha Café," a sustainable economic empowerment initiative for the children of "Awladna," set to open on September 20 in collaboration with national entities.
