Egypt’s Bid to Host the 3rd Global Entrepreneurship Festival Reflects Increasing Regional, International Confidence

Cairo: Egypt has won the right to host the 3rd edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival in 2026, a development that Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem praised as a testament to the country's growing reputation both regionally and internationally. The announcement was made on Saturday, June 27, 2026, during a conference in Cairo that included government ministers, officials, international representatives, and entrepreneurs, under the patronage of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Hashem highlighted that the festival will serve as a crucial platform to unite African and global partners. He emphasized Egypt's strategic advantages as an investment destination, noting its prime location connecting Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, along with its robust trade agreements and developed infrastructure.

The minister further explained that Egypt is intensifying its focus on startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), recognizing their importance in fostering innovation and generating new employment opportunities. Hashem outlined that Egypt's industrial strategy for 2030 aims to bolster local manufacturing, support SMEs, enhance access to financing, and integrate businesses into supply chains to increase competitiveness and exports.
